Job Purpose:
- To provide the quantitative and analytical support necessary for the success of Invesco’s Equity and Commodity ETF Product Management efforts through the production of a wide range of performance and tracking analyses.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide quantitative analytics necessary for the equity and commodity product management function; ensure that quantitative analyses are accurate and produced in a timely fashion
- On-going development of new tools (Excel, VB, Access) necessary to continuously improve, expand and streamline analytics
- Perform regular fund performance and tracking analyses for both internal review and use in client-facing content
- Provide quantitative content for client presentations, regular product updates and internal performance analytics; coordinate with Content, Design and Compliance to produce final client-ready materials where needed
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for product analytics for equity and commodity funds and ensure adherence to relevant Compliance standards in externally-distributed materials
- Develop a broad but granular understanding of how Invesco equity and commodity ETFs function and be able to communicate this to other business areas (e.g. sales, marketing)
- Ensure all activities are in line with TCF outcomes (individual contributor) OR Embed a culture of TCF and ensure all activities are in line with TCF outcomes (people leader).
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience using Excel / Access / Visual Basic / SQL to manipulate data in various formats and to improve procedures and streamline processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage workload and meet deadlines, manipulate large volumes of data and to work both independently (self-directed) and collaboratively across different business groups
- Excellent Excel, Visual Basic, Access and SQL skills; familiarity with other programming / scripting languages highly valued
- Familiarity with exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and associated performance analytics and statistical techniques highly valued
- A clear analytical thinker and natural problem solver with strong quantitative skills and confidence working with data
- Ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly, think logically and communicate ideas clearly
- Outstanding attention to detail in quantitative work as well as in the preparation of written materials (grammar) or presentations (formatting)
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise a heavy workload and meet deadlines
- An entrepreneurial and proactive self-starter with the drive to improve processes and find new and better solutions to problems
- Good written English; proficiency in a second European language highly desirable
- University degree in a technical field (maths, physics, engineering)
- Additional qualifications (e.g. CFA) highly valued.
