Job Purpose:
- To support the fast growth of the Automated Market-Making group, the candidate will be joining a team of London-based traders.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop the Index trading capacity (Futures market-making)
- Enhance market-making strategies and positioning algorithms through modelling and back-testing
- Optimize hedging strategies at trade level and book level
- Monitoring pricing parameters and risk-managing the book (dividends, repo, delta)
- Handling the trading book day-to-day (index rebalancing, corporate actions)
- Leverage the electronic infrastructure to expand the bank’s Client franchise
- Maintain BNP Paribas’s leadership amongst banks as an electronic derivatives market-maker
- Develop the Equity algorithmic trading capacity
- Developing the equity execution platform along with Strategists, including new algorithm and technical evolutions. This includes risk centralization on equities and derivatives
- Monitoring execution performance and investigate potential issues
- Leverage a flexible entrepreneurial human and technical working environment to developing pricing, market-making, execution, risk trading capacities for the benefit of the whole bank and its Clients.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Graduate level to 2-years of experience
- Analytical background: Ideally a top ranked engineering University (+ MSc in Finance a plus). English / French bilingual
- Uncompromising attention to detail and rigor. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Risk awareness
- Ability to quickly apprehend complex technical infrastructures
- Advanced level in any object-oriented language. Python a plus, VBA a must
- Consider the implications of your actions on colleagues, partners and clients before making decisions, and escalate issues to your manager when unsure
- Be a role model, supporting and fostering a culture of good Conduct. Demonstrate proactivity, transparency, and accountability for identifying and managing conduct risks

- Stays calm and positive, controls his/her emotions in conflict or any situation of intense stress (due to market, time or client pressure)
- Ability to undertake a number of issues simultaneously is essential as well as the ability to work under considerable pressure
