Job purpose:

  • We are currently looking for a candidate who will play an instrumental role to the firm’s growth ambition in Singapore and South East Asia region in the ETF/Passive Asset Management space
  • The successful candidate will be part of the APAC Passive Sales team, and the role provides exposure to a wide spectrum of Institutional investors including Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pension Funds, Insurance Companies, Family Offices, Endowments, and Asset Managers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Introduce DWS Passive capability and market our Passive solutions (ETFs and segregated index mandates) to broad institutional client base in South East Asia (Singapore as main focus), including SWF, Pension, Insurance, Family Office, Endowment, Asset Managers
  • Work closely with the Head of Passive Sales for South East Asia, to deepen existing client relationships and expand the client base, in order to achieve the assigned Sales KPIs for South East Asia region on Passive
  • The individual is expected to play a proactive role in facilitating business growth in the region, by addressing client needs, delivering value add service, identifying pipelines, and diligent follow ups with clients in order to close the opportunities
  • Be an efficient team player, by collaborating with the rest of APAC Passive Sales team, as well as the broader South East Asia institutional coverage team in Singapore
  • The role also requires close collaboration with global teams in Europe and US.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified with preference in finance related discipline
  • 4-7 years relevant experience in the financial industry, ideally in a client facing role (Sales or Product Specialist roles) covering institutional clients (SWF, pension, insurance, family office etc.) with existing relationships
  • Will also consider candidates working in insurance companies, family offices, asset managers, who understand how ETFs can be used in portfolios, or involved in the decision making process when selecting Funds / ETFs / external managers
  • Passion for passive / index investing, ideally have a good understanding of ETFs
  • Strong technical skills and working experience with various asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives) and market drivers, to facilitate a meaningful dialogue with institutional clients
  • Team player, good communicator, and preferably can speak Chinese (Mandarin) in order to work with Chinese speaking Clients.
