Job purpose:

  • TD Securities provides a wide range of capital market products and services to corporate, government, and institutional clients who choose us for our knowledge, innovation, and experience in the following key areas of finance: Investment and Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, Interest Rate, Currency and Derivative Products
  • TD Securities works with clients around the world, and our services include the underwriting and distribution of new debt and equity issues, providing advice on strategic acquisitions and divestitures, and executing daily trading and investment needs.

Your Responsibilities:

  • As part of one of Canada’s leading ETF desks, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing existing and new relationships with institutional and mid-tier ETF clients as well as contributing to our industry leading ETF research
  • Find and establish new client relationships with institutional and mid-tier ETF clients in Canada
  • Service existing institutional client relationships by catering to their needs, providing commentary, creating trade ideas, and establishing new avenues of revenue
  • Assist in servicing ETF issuers with sales and distribution efforts
  • Contribute commentary to our ETF strategy reports, including our ETF Weekly reports and our ETF Strategy Ideas and ETF Insights reports
  • Client engagement in the delivery of TD Securities’ capabilities across research, trading and sales through presentations, events, conference calls, and frequent correspondence
  • Continued analysis of current market dynamics in the ETF space for research and client coverage
  • Initiate and manage various initiatives to grow the ETF platform across all our clients
  • Development and maintenance of tools to better manage and service client relationships
  • Work closely with other desks within GED and TD securities to grow the franchise.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in capital markets, preferably in an institutional role and/or in ETFs
  • Strong oral and written communication, particularly when engaged in dialogue of a technical nature with counterparties of varying levels of knowledge
  • Proven experience and track record in an institutional sales role
  • Familiarity with ETFs and derivatives is strongly preferred
  • Experience in publishing research, presenting, and writing trade commentary
  • A self-motivated team player with a genuine curiosity and passion for capital markets
  • Ability to learn quickly and grasp a wide range of challenging market concepts
  • CSC and CPH preferred.
