Job Purpose:

  • The Director, Central Canada, Intermediary Sales, is responsible for driving sales growth and revenue objectives of the Ontario central Canada wholesale channel by leading a team of regional sales people
  • The ultimate objective of this position is to increase our assets under management in our three product lines; mutual funds, ETFs and segregated funds and to drive profitability of the firm.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Serving in a key leadership role, the Director, Central Canada will oversee the sales teams and implement sales strategy to grow our Canadian advisory footprint
  • The role will partner with cross-functional teams to build organizational sales capabilities and deliver upon targeted sales strategies, maximizing product volume growth and profitability for the region
  • The Director, Central Canada will apply rigorous sales management expertise, training and coaching the sales teams to improve sales proficiency and enhance the performance of the Regional Sales Managers (RSM).

  • Provides input to product development and marketing to grow the overall business
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations
  • Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues
  • Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy
  • Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues
  • Demonstrates effective and timely use of the customer relationship management system and expense reporting system
  • Adheres to all compliance, regulatory, and legal guidelines
  • Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a senior specialist resource across BMO
