Role/ Department:

The team are responsible to ensure control and oversight across the areas of master data, pricing and corporate actions .  At all times the team are acting to ensure strong collaboration with all stakeholders (internal and external) whilst maximising productivity within the department to provide optimum quality technical and product support. Additionally, Northern Trust Switzerland AG is responsible for the administration of ETF and lifecycle management of all Exchange Traded Funds offered by UBS AG in Switzerland. The offering includes physically replicated as well as swap based products, currently covering equity, fixed income, precious metals, commodity, real estate and alternative indices.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

•    Daily calculation of ETF files and daily completion of production procedures, analyzing all index constituents changes, valuation and composition considering strict deadlines.
•    Ensuring the highest standards in Quality Assurance – including plausibility of prices or fund components and monitoring of market activities.
•    Good analytical capabilities and data analysis skills
•    Product Enhancements – consistently review procedures and processes to identify enhancements and efficiencies
•    Client support – addressing client queries and timely resolution of issues.
•    Client requirements – Review and provide business specifications for implementing new fund or index requirements within the system
•    Develop and maintain Excel macros to more efficiently process daily calculations and associated processing
•    Ensure effective, high quality implementation, coordination and monitoring of the assisted operational tasks in the department
•    Management of Masterdata related to financial instruments
•    Independent Valuation of all financial instruments in our fund assets (standard and derivatives instruments)using subscribed vendors.
•    Review/check, monitor and control timely completion of pre and post NAV duties
•    Produce internal department statistics/report
•    Ensure high quality support is provided across the team and to other departments
Skills/ Qualifications:

The successful candidate will benefit from having: 
•    Higher education in banking or Business Administration is preferable but not imperative.  Flexible to accommodate early working start is required
•    IT Savvy oriented
•    Knowledge of asset set-up, derivatives, other financial instruments and their valuation
•    Strong computing skills with advanced Excel knowledge preferred,  Access would be an advantage
•    Customer focused with strong sense of accountability
•    Strong knowledge of global financial markets with focus on construction and calculation of indices and exchange trades funds is preferable but not essential.
•    Fluency in German and English required
•    Attention to detail, organised approach and ability to work autonomously as well as within the team are essential
