Your Role
Working closely with all members of the ETF Business team and internal partners, you will participate in developing and executing on our ETF strategy for Canada. Your role will be a key part of key projects and initiatives, and build critical documents and plans related to strategy and internal communications. The ideal candidate will also handle project management duties for more sophisticated initiatives and priorities for the business unit.
You will be responsible for:
- Participating in developing business strategy plans and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set by group heads; follows through to ensure that objectives are met
- Understanding business strategy in order to direct project outcomes towards strategic goals
- Displaying a balanced, cross-functional perspective, collaborating closely with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity
- Continually building efficiencies into business support areas to ensure scalability for future growth
- Project management of key ETF initiatives in alignment with the strategic plan with the ability to work closely with other Invesco offices to bring to bear resources
- Tracking assigned initiatives through the execution phase
- Identify issues that could impact successful execution of key team commitments
- Leadership in communications with other investment centers along with partnering where appropriate with internal/external communications
- Providing leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication
- Optimally delegate and supervise workflow and provide opportunities for team member’s personal development
The experience you bring:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in financial services
- ETF knowledge would be a plus, but not required
- Highly organized with some project management exposure
- A strong sense of urgency, and a desire to learn
- Proficient in producing and editing documents including written materials, PowerPoint, and Excel
- A desire to interact with various internal and external constituencies
