Job Purpose:

  • Allianz Investment Management LLC (AllianzIM) is looking for an ETF product specialist/ account manager with sales experience to develop relationships and drive AUM growth across both retail and institutional distribution channels, including RIAs, broker/dealers, endowments, foundations, pensions, bank trusts, TAMPs, model portfolio providers, home offices, and consultants
  • This is an opportunity for an energetic and self-motivated person to work in an entrepreneurial environment to help shape the future of an emerging ETF business backed and supported by a large and financially stable insurance company
  • This person will be instrumental in orchestrating and executing a leading client service model and in delivering outcome based derivative ETF solutions (e.g. structured/ buffered outcomes)
  • Key requirements include meaningful client servicing experience and a strong knowledge of ETF capital markets mechanics
  • Key personal characteristics include superior communication and presentation skills and an unwavering can-do attitude
  • This position is based in Minneapolis, MN.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Grow AllianzIM’s ETF assets by contributing both individually and collaboratively in the development and execution of the strategic business plan
  • Identify, develop, and grow client relationships to position AllianzIM as the ETF issuer of choice for outcomes based ETFs
  • Represent AllianzIM as an expert in ETFs generally, and specifically in derivatives based ETFs
  • Create and deliver effective content to clients through in-person, phone, and WebEx engagements
  • Support marketing efforts with thought leadership, investor use cases, product positioning, and both proactive and reactive messaging
  • Proactively identify product innovation opportunities and existing product positioning opportunities based on client interaction, industry trends, competitive advantages, and current market conditions
  • Address product inquiries and provide education to internal distribution and training teams
  • Work closely with the portfolio management team and other professionals across the organization to develop new investment solutions
  • Work with our internal Salesforce team to ensure proper CRM functionality and provide analytics on key performance metrics
  • Travel as needed to in-person client meetings and industry conferences.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with a proven ability to drive AUM growth
  • Strong investment acumen and a strong understanding of product positioning in different distribution channels
  • Highly effective communicator with excellent writing, and presentation skills
  • Ability to articulate complex investment topics
  • Collaborative and effective in multi-functional teams
  • Thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • ETF experience is required, experience with derivatives is a plus
  • Institutional or retail client servicing experience is required, experience with both is a plus
  • 10 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • BA/BS degree is required, preferably in Finance, Economics, or similar field
  • MBA and/or CFA is preferred
  • FINRA Series 7 is required.
