Job Purpose:

  • The candidate will support the Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong and Sydney Fixed Income  covering APAC markets and across various product types
  •  The role also requires direct interfacing with Middle Office staff and other teams located around the globe.  The successful candidate will demonstrate good judgment, strict attention to detail, an ability to manage multiple tasks and work well in a dynamic group.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Trade related tasks
  • Perform block trade confirmations in STP or on paper vs. broker confirms
  • Facilitate and monitor trade flow process in STP queue
  • Address broker related trade inquiries
  • Daily reporting
  • Prepare and distribute daily trade activity and end of day reports
  • Perform daily
  • Ad Hoc
  • Research and resolve inquiries from internal and external groups
  • Assist in the monthly metric reporting and work with back office to resolve identified risk items
  • Participate in projects to enhance PIMCO’s operational environment
  • Onboard new brokers and/or markets for trading
  • Assist Operations Manager
  • Support manager in completing any assignment related to day-to-day requests from Operations, Portfolio, or Account management teams
  • Assist manager in servicing client operational queries and requests.
  •  Equity position and market value reconciliations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4 year university degree in finance, accounting, or economics preferred
  • 5 or more years’ experience, preferably in the financial service industry
  • Direct working knowledge in trade support function
  • Product knowledge in processing and settlement of various financial products (fixed income, forex, equities and derivatives)
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Experience with MS computer applications, Bloomberg trade order management systems and matching utilities preferred
  • Self-motivated problem solver and results oriented; contributing to the firm’s success
  • Flexibility in Shift arrangements (covering all APAC markets – coming in as early as 6am and may need to come in on Singapore holidays).  Flex working arrangement will be in place.
