Job purpose:

  • The FlexShares Marketing team is dedicated to growing the FlexShares Exchange Traded Funds global brand, creation of fund literature and driving advisor engagement across a variety of tactics including events (live & virtual), advertising (TV, video & digital) and public relations
  • In close collaboration with members of the Executive sales team, we strive to provide innovative solutions that will differentiate FlexShares ETFs from competitors
  • We achieve this in two ways including by utilizing a variety of marketing tools including CRM, marketing automation and digital dashboards
  • The other way is through a variety of tactics that include website oversite of FlexShares.com, FlexShares.com/Blog, digital ad sponsorships, content & video development, podcast creation, production of original financial services surveys & research and maximizing search engine marketing.

Your Responsibilities:

  • The Associate, FlexShares EMEA Marketing, under the guidance of the Head of FlexShares Marketing, and is accountable to the Head of NTAM EMEA while serving as the regional marketing support for driving marketing initiatives of our non-US listed FlexShares ETFs
  • This role will act as an active business partner for the region and within the overall FlexShares Marketing annual plan will proactively execute the marketing strategy in order to promote sales growth and enhance revenue of our non-US listed exchange traded funds
  • Based on feedback and research, will help identify needs within the regional and targeted markets that can help improve awareness of FlexShares ETFs
  • They will also stay current on market trends, industry standards and competitors in order to provide ideas for the development of fresh content and communications strategy in response to the evolving market environment
  • Work closely with the Head of FlexShares Marketing to develop regional marketing strategies to both improve awareness and adoption of our funds within the region
  • Partner with relevant sales, product, data enablement, investment and other stakeholders across the firm to align work objectives and execute agreed upon marketing plans
  • In conjunction with the FlexShares Marketing team, use analytics to identify client/prospect preferences to enhance the regional client journey
  • Ensure all region-related expenses are approved by the FlexShares Head of Marketing and confirmed within the allotted budget
  • Be responsible for regular product communication updates and helping manage fund literature system; ensuring all digital properties and product materials are consistent and up to date
  • Be adept at tactical marketing in order to effectively and efficiently execute programs within the respective regional channels.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Marketing or distribution experience with emphasis on asset management
  • Project leadership experience, including managing multiple projects simultaneously on tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong ability to collaborate and open to other viewpoints
  • Ability to synthesize data and qualitative information to arrive at a compelling conclusion/tell a story
  • Agility and innovation when faced with complexity and/or adversity. Ability to be resourceful, think out of the box and move things forward with a high degree of urgency
  • Superior interpersonal skills – including the ability to work effectively in various team settings and influence senior partners is critical
  • High proficiency working in Word, PowerPoint, Excel – Salesforce, HubSpot and Seismic proficiency desired.
