Job purpose:
- To support this growth, we are looking for a Vice President to expand the US ETF Capital Markets team based in New York
- The ETF Capital Markets team oversees the strategic relationships with Exchanges, Authorized Participants and Market Makers, alongside working with our client advisors and their clients to achieve optimal trading outcomes
- As a member of the team, you would be responsible for delivering key outcomes across the following segments.
Your Responsibilities:
- Maintain relationships with listing exchanges and a working knowledge of the National Market System
- Advocate for market structure initiatives vital to the progress of the ETF ecosystem
- Manage listing process and leverage appropriate marketing and LMM programs to further growth
- Procure adequate liquidity and spreads both on and off exchange prior to, and after, launch
- Monitor spreads and premiums across product line and communicate issues with Lead Market Maker
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the sales teams across all client segments
- Assist sales teams by participating in client meetings and other client events
- Educate clients on the trading mechanics of ETFs and safely guide them toward best execution
- Educate market participants about new and existing products to promote product growth
- Identify institutional use cases for ETFs by working alongside various sales and trading teams
- Conduct joint client events and develop thoughtful research notes with ETF trading desks
- Work closely with product development to ensure new products are structured to trade efficiently
- Advise product team on enhancements that will lead to improved liquidity and market quality
- Further the development of transparent and semi-transparent active funds.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of financial services experience, preferably in Sales and Trading or Capital Markets at a top tier investment bank, trading firm or asset manager
- Multi-asset knowledge including equities, fixed income and derivatives
- Familiarity with current exchange and regulatory landscape effecting ETFs
- Strong knowledge of ETF mechanics, including the factors that drive pricing
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Effective relationship management skills and ability to build credibility with internal stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems and create effective solutions
- Strong technical skills (Excel, Bloomberg, etc.) required. Programming skills a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required; CFA, MBA or advanced degree preferred.
