Job Description

The JPMAM Exchange Traded Fund (“ETF”) business was formed in 2014, with the first ETFs launched Internationally in 2017. The International ETF Product team is a dedicated team of experienced professionals who work to research, develop and launch ETFs.

We are executing a focused ETF product strategy that spans asset classes; across equities, fixed income, liquidity and others.  The ETF business leverages the firm’s numerous competitive advantages, including industry leading distribution, research and investment capabilities. The team is part of the Global ETF Solutions group which includes ETF Capital Markets and Indexing capabilities within Asset Management Solutions. This role will report to the Head of International ETF Product.

 Role and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for presenting, explaining and socializing the International ETF Product strategy both internally to JPMorgan senior management and externally
  • Ideation and execution of new products and enhancements to existing products that can help move forward JPMorgan’s goal of being a $250B ETF provider globally (incl. $50B within UCITS) and the leader in actively managed ETFs by 2025
  • Act as a key thought partner, brainstorming & identifying solutions to challenges in building out our robust ETF strategy
  • Present new products and product restructures to internal governance committees and the Funds’ Board of Directors
  • The ability to project manage complex projects to deadlines; and contribute to the effective management of the International ETF range through partnership and collaboration with many internal groups and partners, in particular distribution
  • Drive to proactively build relationships across the JPM organization, including amongst investment teams, distribution partners and strategy colleagues; leverage relationships to drive support for International ETF Product initiatives

This position requires:

  • Extensive ETF product and/or strategy experience
  • Financial services experience, including strong knowledge of financial markets and products
  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Finance, Economics or Business, preferred
  • Graduate level degree in relevant discipline and/or CFA strong plus

Successful candidates will have:

  • Broad understanding of the ETF landscape; product familiarity and direct industry experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills needed to explain and convey research
  • Excellent analytical skills, including hands-on experience with one or more of: Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, FactSet or similar systems preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and coordinate across the firm
  • High level of self-motivation, with strong integrity, ethics and ability to work independently
  • Ability to collaborate vertically/horizontally and across functionally/geographically disperse teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize
