Job Purpose:

  • The ETF distribution is responsible for driving ETF asset and revenue growth across the region
  • This position will have direct responsibility for growing the ETF business by leading locally the build out of JP Morgans ETF business in Asia
  • This would entail driving JP Morgans overall ETF Strategy in Asia, including but not limited to; covering clients locally and coordinating with local distribution (across all channels and markets), supporting and contributing to product development conversations (around UCITS, US and exploring local listings), coordinating and developing local marketing strategy, ensuring necessary infrastructure is in place to serve clients, as well as ensuing local CAPM coverage is handled as well.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop overall Asia ETF strategy
  • Contribute to product development process to ensure Asia appropriate input
  • Help with CAPM capabilities and for ETF trading
  • Act as local spokesperson for ETF business with media and events
  • Partner internally with client advisors to develop ETF client coverage
  • Cultivate ETF relationships with the Pensions, insurance companies, ETF Asset Managers, and Global Asset Managers
  • Collaborate closely with various teams within JP Morgan Asset Management
  • To ensure effective sales territory management to meet activity targets and minimum client servicing requirements
  • Adhere to standardized sales management best practices including effective sales territory and diary management, and working to activity targets and minimum client servicing requirements
  • Adoption of disciplined sales management practices, including full utilization of sales management tools for effective tracking of client activity and pipeline
  • Contribute, manage, and oversee the execution of ETF sales strategy in the region
  • Partner with the Internal Sales Specialists to effectively deliver ETF resources to clients including comparative analytics, capital markets insights and actionable investment ideas.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of ETF business experience, preferably in Asia
  • Strong one-to-one / small group relationship management and selling skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in building businesses, entrepreneurial
  • Confident, self-reliant and good team player
  • Ability to leverage resources internally
  • Knowledge of pension finance, investments, fixed-income markets, equities, international, real estate, private equities, defined contribution and the state of the industry
  • Ability to position and differentiate the JP Morgan Active ETF product against competitor firms, Investment products, and service platforms
  • Good understanding of the regulatory environment surrounding ETF creation and listing across Asia Pacific
  • Asian languages (e.g. Mandarin) would be advantageous.
