Job Purpose:

  • The position is based within the Lyxor ETF Capital Markets team in London
  • The team is in charge of all aspects related to trading Lyxor ETFs, operating as the central point of contact for both Primary and Secondary market ETF activity
  • The team manages relationships with Authorised Participants (APs) and ETF traders (Buy Side Dealing Desks, Independent Brokers, Market Making firms and Investment Banks) across Europe, and provides insight on ETF execution and education to investors

Your Responsibilities:

  • The ETF Capital Markets Specialist will be expected to be proactively growing business and managing relationships with buy-side Dealing desks and sell-side ETF Sales and Trading desks (Brokers, Market Makers, Banks) focused on German speaking / Eastern European clients
  • The Specialist will also be expected to act as a Product and Trading specialist with the support of the Experts team providing education and insight into ETF trading to investors on this zone
  • Finally, the Specialist will be expected to participate fully in the other day-to-day roles of the team, e.g. responding to various Authorised Participants’ requests, managing relationships with the relevant local Exchanges and Data Providers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with banks, brokers and market makers in order to increase the liquidity, visibility and distribution of Lyxor ETFs
  • Work with liquidity providers and brokers to ensure efficient trading of Lyxor ETFs both on exchange and over the counter (OTC)
  • Educate investors on ETF trading and execution and provide insight on relevant developments across the industry
  • Travel to visit dealing desks and brokers across German-speaking and Eastern Europe
  • Provide the sell-side community and buy-side dealing desks with regular updates and insights on the Lyxor product offering
  • Manage relationships with outside firms including Exchanges and data providers

On a daily basis the Capital Markets Specialist will also help the other members of the team in:

  • Handling requests from Authorised Participants and market makers trading Lyxor ETFs
  • Overseeing Primary Market trading
  • Monitoring Secondary market flows, both on exchange and over the counter (OTC)

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous knowledge of financial markets, either from the buy- or sell-side
  • Resourceful, proactive and able to effectively operate in a highly collegial and demanding team environment
  • Initiative and proactivityReliable, organised, rigorous and comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Clarity and conciseness
  • Established relationships with buy-side dealing desks and sell side firms in German-speaking countries a plus
  • Self motivated and detail oriented
  • Understanding of the ETF trading mechanisms a plus
  • Understanding of equity and bond trading a plus
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance or related field
  • English and German language skills mandatory.
