Job Purpose:
- With the continued expansion of our product offering an exciting opportunity exists for a Product Specialist based in Sydney
- Reporting to the Head of Product, you will work in an experienced and highly motivated team.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Separately Managed Account (SMA) implementation, management and oversight of client accounts invested in 3rd party models
- Assisting with Managed Fund, LIC, ETF, SMA product due diligence operational roll out
- Lead Structured Product Sales support
- Liaising with external portfolio managers on model changes, updates and trade rationales.
- Implementing a robust framework designed to minimize risk and maximize operational efficiency.
- Engaging with financial advisers on issues arising on client accounts
- Influencing senior stakeholders – internal and external
- Accurately explain complex or unfamiliar business, operational or financial information to key stakeholders
- Working in a team environment that fosters diversity, flexibility, and talent
- Positively engage with & support, advocate and implement change.
- Commercial acumen, including the ability to quickly build and dissect business cases.
- Help determine key drivers of our business model and third party selection (SMA/Structured products)/ongoing review
- Understand the relationships between key drivers as well as the impact market conditions have on key drivers and work to leverage opportunities created by these drivers
- Third Party Manager fee invoicing.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical/Specialist Skills/Competencies
• Knowledge of the Investment platforms market
• Knowledge of Global Investment Operations and custody fundamentals
• Advanced knowledge of Equities, ETFs, LIC’s, Managed Funds, Hybrids and Structured Products
• SMA/Managed Account experience is also desirable
Personal Attributes/Interpersonal skills
• Confident in dealing with a large range of demanding stakeholders, including Financial Advisors
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills
• Client focused with the ability to build rapport at all levels
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and to prioritise tasks where required

Qualifications / Experience Required
• Tertiary qualifications
• Industry recognised education preferred (e.g. ASIC RG 146 compliant)
• Proven experience within a Wealth Management firm or wrap platform provider
• Previous exposure to wrap products
• Track record in providing client solutions and driving sales
Compliance Responsibilitie:
- Ensure the business unit maintains the ethical standards contained in the Company Code of Conduct
- Ensure the business unit adheres to firm policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements
Key Business Relationships
- The incumbent will be required to work with stakeholders across the organisation including: Financial Advisers, Marketing, Business Management, Risk Management, Trading, Operations, Management, Legal and Compliance.
