Role Summary

The ESG Strategy and Analytics Manager should have comfort in aggregating qualitative insights from across the organization, analyzing quantitative data, compiling reporting and disseminating their results to support operational decisions and strategic planning. The ESG Strategy & Analytics Manager needs to be able to navigate the organization, have a broad view across functions and strong communication skills. Developing a deep understanding of both competitor and client trends and requirements across different channels will be important.

Analytics sits at the heart of the role, and as such, the ESG Strategy and Analytics Manager should be able to develop functional analytics and reporting, partner with business subject matter experts to formulate and test hypotheses, build economic models to demonstrate financial impacts, create data visualizations to highlight messages and identify risks. In some cases, they will have to evaluate or assist with implementing tools or software required to carry out these activities.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of ESG Enablement to develop a comprehensive commercial ESG strategy for T. Rowe Price that thoughtfully connects our corporate ESG position, global product range, regulatory engagement, and go-to-market approach across client segments and regions.
  • Design & deliver regular reports/market intelligence on ESG investment market trends and insights (including by region and client type).
  • Design and deliver regular reports/analysis to track the Company’s progress versus internal, strategic objectives and competitors.
  • Work with the Head of ESG Enablement and others across the organization to inform and support T. Rowe Price’s strategic planning process, where appropriate.
  • Conduct additional ad-hoc primary or secondary market research to inform T. Rowe Price’s plans and to support the broader organization.
  • Develop a strong understanding of relevant business areas, teams, and strategies to ensure ongoing collaboration and alignment with our ESG business.
  • Conduct recurring ESG Assessments, analyzing the firm’s ESG risks and opportunities on an on-going basis and identify new trends

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ years of related experience

Preferred: 

  • Management consulting, banking, asset management or similar background.
  • Strong analytical, research, and written/verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in leading complex projects involving a wide group of senior stakeholders
  • Experience navigating large and complex organizations
  • Knowledge of investment and ESG data sets such as Broadridge and Morningstar, preferred.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; ability to learn new software applications quickly such as databases and web applications. Numerate with basic financial modelling capability.
